Lace-up your skates for a Wayne Gretzky-style adventure this winter. The Nantucket Ice Rink is the perfect spot for beginners and advanced skaters alike to spend the day. From hockey to curling to learn-to-skate programs, there’s a little something for everyone on the ice.
- Public Skate
Nantucket Ice Rink offers public skating year-round. The facility offers general skating, as well as themed skates such as Adult Coffee Skate and Kids on Ice. Coupon books are available for purchase if you plan to attend more than once, and discounts are offered throughout the year. Check out their weekly schedule for information on times and programs.
Local Tip: Get there early as the rink fills up quickly, and you’ll want to reserve time to get geared up.

Nantucket’s Learn to Skate programs provides assistance for all skill levels. The level one class teaches fundamentals such as gliding forward and backward, stopping, and turning.
